The E21 flashlight features a hard-anodized anti-abrasive finish.

The E21 is equipped with a Cree XP-E LED bulb with a lifespan of 50,000 hours. The bulb's digitally regulated beam maintains a constant brightness during your activity, so you won't have to deal with a dimming beam while you hike. You can also choose different output levels depending on how much light you need. The low output level (48 lumens) runs for up to 11 hours on two AA batteries, while the high level (150 lumens) runs for up to 2 hours 15 minutes. Best of all, the high-brightness LED includes a high-efficiency reflector that creates an ideal balance between the flood beam and the focus beam. As a result, users get the best of both worlds.

The flashlight is also well built, with a durable aircraft-grade aluminum body coated with a premium Type III hard-anodized, anti-abrasive finish. The construction--which includes a toughened ultra-clear double glass lens with an anti-reflective coating--helps the light hold up to all kinds of abuse. Other features include a tactical pushbutton tail-cap switch; rhombic knurling to improve the grip; and such accessories as a lanyard, a spare rubber switch boot, and two spare O-rings. The E05, which is waterproof to the IPX-8 standard, carries a limited lifetime warranty.

PERFORMANCE: This light generates a surprisingly White and Bright beam. We did some comparison tests and found it to out shine most other flashlights built with Cree LEDs which are rated at 180 to 200 lm. This light is in the 180 to 200 lm category. The quality of the Cree chip, the way it is driven and it's deep and wide reflector all take part in this long throwing yet wide moon light. This extra wide and extra deep reflector also shapes a more defined center spot which throws much further than almost all LED tactical. Even after 3 hours! Of constant running on the same set of batteries the spot out shins many 130lm and 160lm single and double RCR123A lights. The higher quality machining of the threads is a real pleasure compared to others of similar price. It has a thicker wall tube and a more meaty wall on the threaded end cap. You will not be experiencing cracked caps and galled threads like other brands. It's built with a genuine CREE 7090 XR-E Super Bright LED proven to be one of the most efficient LEDs in the world. CREE LED allows exceptionally long battery life per set of batteries. We spent extra money on a better switch, which performs smoother and more reliable. ADVANTAGE: Again, like many of our lights you're definitely getting more for your money with this light, compared to similar lights. This is our favorite Full Sized LED Light. The beauty of this solidly built 3 AA battery flashlight design is it's exceptionally long inexpensive battery life. The deep fine knurling has resulted in an exceptional none slip finish. Even the butt cap is knurled for better grip. It's weight, finish and design stays firm in your grip. You will not be fumbling and dropping this one. It contains the firmest, yet smoothest switch, which we are proud to provide. In testing we also noticed it RUNS WAY COOLER due to its greater aluminum surface area.
